What won’t void the warranty

I'm actually glad I bought my car used at carmax.
So far I've gotten 2 brand new tires, 1 new wheel, and I think they may get me new front rotors and break pads and maybe a clutch under their 30 day warranty.
I think they are very good about their service and I'm impressed with it. Everyone I talked to down here are very understanding about it.

I was looking to buy a used EVO towards the end of the year from car max as my 1st choice. private sale would be last resort. I don't want to pay more then 25k for it. I'm actually trying to keep it as close to 20k's as possible,

Is a exhaust and cone filter going to void my warranty?
Hi, my dad has a completely stock evo. Because the car has a **** lowend and it barely makes it up our fairly steep driveway, I ordered him a buschur racing 3" cat back exhaust w/ magnaflow muffler and drop in K&N filter for fathers day hoping this would free up some low end power and improve turbo spool (worked for my 90' GSX...). Anyway, when my dad bought the car I was told that exhaust and minor intake mods would not void the warranty? Was I lied to and should I rethink installing these parts on my dads BRAND NEW evo w/ the 100,000 mile extended warranty?
Thanks,
Chris
Thanks,
