can bad gas do this??????
Ok.. this is what happened today,
as i was coming home from my work, i stopped by the gas station(Texaco) close to my house. I put a full tank of premium gas into my Evo, and started engine try to take off...engine stalled!!!! i started again but it died off again..i was like ****...
im really tired from work..and why is this happening to me..so i popped up the hood to check any hoses and they were all fine...
I called wrecker service to get my car to the dealer...and there i was waiting for about an hour..as soon as wrecker service truck..pulled into gas station, i saw this girl with BMW...well...and i saw her putting in gas and...guess what...
as she tried to take off...her car stallled too...i was like ****...can it be the gas??
they better not have water in the tank...
man..im just pissed....
i hope my evo doesnt get damaged from this...
does anybody know what will happen to the engine?
and what do i need to do against gas station??
i saved my receipt ....and girls number so i can find out if she had the same problem...
arrrrhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

There should have been enough good gas in your lines to get you out of the station.. I thought Texco was now Standard Oil? Water will separate from gas. If you have ever done or seen a preflight on a small aircraft you know that it is simple to do a visual check for water. Your story is interesting for many reasons, good luck.

aslong as you keep in contact with that girl, and see if her car has the same problems, i would contact the gas company and file a comlpaint. maybe take the car to a shop and get an estimate of find out what excatly caused the problem

Well, that is a perfect reason to get the girl's number!!! Assuming that she is hot!!! Sorry, that's the first thing I thought of when you said you got the girl's number. Anyway, I hope your car's alright though.

We just had a local news story. You might want to get this checked out! Texaco and Shell stations in our area were found to have bad batches of gasoline containing heavy amounts of Sulfur. The customers could literally smell the sulfur near the their gas tank. Many cars were damaged out here. It blew O2 sensors and caused gas guages to fail and break, cars to stall out and a plethora of other issues. The problem was actually discovered by a dealership of all places when the first case brought in her car to find what was wrong.
Good luck!!!!!!!

They can't contain water in gas. It's got a pressurized vapor sensors (8) to eliminate water in the gasoline. This is standard issue in all gas stations.
If they did, the EPA or even the gas station inspectors will find the gas station, unheard of amount of money and shuts the gas station down until the issues been resolved.
So, I'm thinking it's the gasoline itself. You could sue the gas station and get a new motor, if what above is true.
