This is a great way to go. ... if you still need a co-singner im sure if you have that kind of money your parents or uncle ect would do it... even if you put 20K down and have the other 10K to pay it off thats fine... make a couple of payments as planned and then pay the rest off in a big chunk.... Paying off a 4-5 year loan in under a year is a big credit boost. thats how i got financing for my evo. i bought a car and paid it off in 1 year, went to the dealership to get the evo and got a KILLER rate. and im only 21

Lucky dog. My first car was a Datsun F10, quite possibly the uglyest car ever made. (this pic doesnt do it justice, it was much worse)

my family is all overseas, and I don't think they want to fly over here just to co sign.

If i put 20 down, and then pay the rest off all at once on the first payment due date, would that be fine?

yea same principle applys in my mind

Its all about early payoff/consistancy.

Make sure you open an account with the money they are going to give you... that way you have a loan (that will pay off early) and you wont get denied for a bank account if you are going to open it with 30K

you want to keep the loan for at least 6 months in order for it to really show up and make a differance

Really? i did not know that.. actually now that i think about it it takes about 3 months to get there and they take forever to show that it is paid. it took my other loan 3 months to show that it was paid without a letter from the bank

you can pay a whole car in cash....but really they like you to finance as they get kickbacks and good relations with the banks...as well as makin more in the long run....so don't tell them your payin cash like it makes a diff.

if you want to pay outright for a car buy an RS and we can have a stereo put in for you and with 30k you dont have to worry about payments, just another option because those are availible to but only in red and white
