Defi Boost Gauge problem/question...
So I installed my Defi D-Series Boost Gauge today...
Now when it arrived at my doorstep, I saw that the needle was stuck at 10.5psi (give or take). I didn't think anything of it, since the instructions said it'd reset itself once you turned it on.
Nope.
So effectively, 10.5psi is now Zero/vacuum, which incrementally, made 20psi = 10psi, and 30psi = 20psi. It's actually kinda cool to peg the gauge hehe...
But anyway, on to my question, is there anyway to set the needle back down to zero when the car is off? Cause now when I turn the car off, the needle goes to 10.5psi, since that's what it came set at, I'm assuming it's thinking that's zero/vacuum.
Or would I have to exchange it for another?

I had the same problem with my D-Series boost gauge, but mine was stuck at 1.5psi. I emailed both Defi and the vendor, and they both agree the gauge needs to be returned. Now I am just working out the logistics of shipping it back.
I don't understand why vendors would ship a gauge with a needle at something other than 0psi when you can clearly see the gauge from the clear packaging.
Good luck

Mine came at exactly zero (thnx for the hookup coolguy949).
I still haven't installed it but I'm sure it will perform as expected (afterall, it isn't some cheesy pepboys autometer).
Just thought others should know they aren't all bad.

I had the same problem with my Autometer boost gauge.
The gauge came stuck at 5psi. Out of curiosity, I stuck my finger inside the gauge through an opening on the back to see if I could fix it. I pushed on some of the parts inside and noticed the needle moved. After I pushed a little bit harder, the needle moved and stuck right at 0psi.
I didn't really care if I broke it or not since the gauge only cost me $55, but I ended up fixing it.
