THANK YOU VERY MUCH GMat and 86B for your awesome posts.
This is what ive been saying. Why is giving the Evo such an ugly/pontiac look when Subaru has clearly steped way up in the styling department. I really wish would pay more attention to what the rest of the world thinks looks good and not what PONTIAC thinks is cool.
P.S. At least that pontiac in the picture has fog lights. Remember its suppose to be rally inspired not PONTIAC inspired

I REALLY don't understand why people say it looks like the Vibe. There are alot of other cars with similar grill openings..such as the Mustang. I actually think it looks more like a Mustang than a Pontiac. Everyone is stuck on the looks of the new Mitsubishi emblem shape..Pontiac uses v-shape..Mitsubishi is upside down V...big deal.

j/k sort of...
Subaru tried too hard to make the new WRX something it isn't nor ever will be: a beautiful and stylish car. I'm referring to all the damn shapes/lines that make up the front end and the way-too-big headlights. IMO, the Evo and STi will never be "beautiful" cars as a direct result of their 4door boxy shapes. It's all about function and performance...

i dunno if ne1 else has noticed this but how much does
the new sti look like an integra !!! this looks like an sti x b4 x itegra !!
I also think theyve gone over board with the hood scoop. Its too
big...if they kept it smaller it'd be a great car

andthe new integra/rsx loods surprisingly similar to civic, except the front end slopes downward a la ford focus,
(as far as the sti resemblance, only in the sloped down front end and the new headlights which sorta look like the doubled lipped integra headlights)

I deffently have to say I like the spy shots of the new STI much better then the EVO 8 spy shots. I've always liked Mitsu more then Subi but I might be a defector now.
Either way Toyota kicks both their butts.

Nice pictures!!
But this one is particularly interesting! Subaru added an EVO style hood vent which allows hot air to go out of the engine department. The only thing is that the hood scoop is right after that, so some of that air will definitely make it back in!
Not really sure about that part, but on the other hand WRC Subie has a FMIC, so that shouldn't affect cooling of the compressed air, but definitely shouldn't cool the engine as well as it would be without the first opening.
Mr. AWD
