any difference between 03 and 04?

I put the deposit down on my 2004 silver 8 today and basically we're just waiting for some paperwork to go through on Tuesday. Should have it in my hands this week!!!
Anyways, when we took it on a drive today the sales guy (who admitted I knew a lot more about the car than he did) showed me this intercooler setting function. I was like WTF? What in the world does this do? He said it enables you to control the temp of your intercooler?
This just sounded wierd to me.

Two more difference...not that it matters. The air bag sensor/solenoid directly under th hood is silver rather than black on the 03. Also on the 03, we have additional horizontal black stripes on the top of our rear window. O4s don't have that.

Yes the intercooler sprayer sprays winshield washer fluid onto the intercooler to aid in the cooling of the air. It can be set on auto and will spray at certain temps set by the Ecu or Manual it will spray when you push the button down. I believe the MR and 05's will not have this function. According to Vishnu and a few others that have dynoed the Evo with the sprayer on and off said it did gain about 5whp.

Wow, somehow I missed that inall these threads. I had no idea it had a sprayer!! That rocks!! Is this something you guys use regularly?
The test drive was amazing. The car felt very tight in the corners, but in the straight away I could feel the restriction of the cats and exhaust. Being a guy who's driven a full 3in turbo back for 2 years I can feel these things. The throttle response wasn't as good as I'd hoped but that will all change in due time..
I also have to keep reminding myself that htis test drive was done witht he AC one, and three people in the car. lol If I did that in my current car It'd be slower than a dog with no back legs.
