shaky steering
When I'm on the highway, and I'm breaking, the whole steering shakes.
Is this normal? The Mitsu dealer guys telling me there was nothing wrong with it, that its "the normal suspension setup".
3 people rode it, doing 60, 70, 80, 90 and they're telling me the rotors aren't warped and the breaks are fine, and everything is fine.
The breaks squeek time to time and rotors have grooves on them. The steering shake like crazy when I'm hard breaking in the highway.
I don't know who to trust.
This can't be normal tho, the steering shaking...
help me out.

it may be related how awesome the evo brakes... the brakes wont be smooth and noise free, just another side effect of having such a raw car
yeah my evo does that too but its livable... maybe yours is warped though.

actually there are alot of people mistaking the rotors as being warped when it is actually just the tires causing the vibration. I have some shake too when i brake, but I have 17k on my stock advans. Problem is the tires are no longer balanced on the wheel. This usually starts happening on evos after 10k depending on how hard you abuse the tires. Sometimes inflating the tires a little more helps to temporarily smooth braking out, but comes back eventually.

sounds to me like your rotors are warped and may need some resurfacing. that happened to me in my integra where it would only shake while I brake at speeds higher than 65mph. get that inspected by someone who actually cares and knows what they are doing. SOME Mitsu mechanics are incredibly dumb or lazy. how many miles do you have? you should try rotating the tires too. just my .02 cents. good luck!

check your tire presures, and if it still shakes, try rotating them.
If that does not work check the alignment.
If the alignment does not help, then your brake rotors are more than likely warped.

Every mitsu ive ever driven had the shaky steering problem. I dont doubt the evo will have it to. Im not just talking about the DSM's either. Is this a common problem with the evo? Because well, I havent driven one yet hehe.
