2 issues with that.

1. our license plate size is different.
2. How does the exhaust line up?

I personally don't like the regular lancer bumper look but these are something to think about not to mention if you ever get into an accident.

I believe you have to remove some structure underneath the USDM bumper to get the JDM one to fit. So if you are ok with having no impact bar in the rear of your car, this bumper would be a good choice.

SC~who wouldn't do it.

You can get the rear bumper from Z1auto. Just call up Adam, it's even listed on the website. $500 bucks, prepainted to match the car too. But yes, you do have to remove the rear bumper beam, which sucks.

I was recently involved in a rear-end collision. The kid hit me from behind at no more than 10 mph, and the repair bill came out to over $3,700. It involves a new bumper cover, impact absorber, bumper beam, frame rails, trunk panel, side panels, some structural parts in the subframe, and paint. The unibody moved a little, but it's okay.

I considered getting the JDM rear bumper cover, because it's OEM, but I can't imagine not having the rear beam. If you get rear ended, the impact will be absorbed solely by the rear subframe and unibody. As beautiful as it looks, I don't think it's worth it.

us brits drive around without a USDM rear impact bar, and we're not worried. The japanese made the car without one...if it needed one, surely they would have constructed it....go on, live dangerously

you probably get more G whilst accelerating in the Evo anyway. Saying that, with the extra weight gained form all the slow speed safety legislations imposed by your bush, your evo's weigh too much...strip it...go on, you know you want to!
