To those who ordered an Evo
On June 1st I went into the market for an Evo and the dealer couldn't find any ones that hadn't been test driven with my color of choice and options within a decent range. So he ordered one for me from Japan and had it built.
So my question is, to all you guys/girls who have had to order an Evo, how long did it take to get to you? Like I said above, I ordered it on June 1st and the date it arrives just keeps getting pushed forwards, and now the dealer is telling me I have a whole car but it hasn't shipped from Japan yet. And he doesn't expect it to be here until the last week of this month. Peace.

Damn.. The dealer told me this morning my car is built, now its just a matter of getting it from Japan to the west coast. At first Mitsu told him it would be here on the 7th, and now he's not expecting it to be here till the last week of this month. Oh well, lets me get the rest of my down payment ready and my finances in order I guess. Thanks for your responses, sounds like my 8 week wait is about normal for an Evo. The dealer said it was just because its a "specialty item".

I suppose I'm just impatient, I rolled my '99 GSX and now I cant wait to get back on the road again in an Evo. They're probably holding my car till they have a big enough shipment I guess
