I think it would be great to get a pic showing both cars head-on side by side.
I feel that's the best way to determine how aggressive a car looks(that's how it'll suddenly appear in your rear-view mirror )

The new grill isn't as hideous as i thought it would be. However I wish that someone would please turn the bottom upside down so that the curves would flow better with the rest of the car and maybe even bring in some foglights like on the sti. Come on , this is your flagship car, spend a little more time on the front end and give it the clean lines and aggressive edges that everyone is looking for.
My 2 cents

Well, my personal thoughts...the grill is pretty bad, however, I do understand that it was needed inorder for us to be blessed wih the FMIC. And, well, yeah, it does suck that the front of the car is kinda fugly, but I'm still glad that we are finally getting this beast. Its about time. And also, I'm positive the aftermarket will explode once the VIII is debuted. Due to the overwhelming criticism, I'm sure companies will be sure to offer multiple different fronts. Just hard to wait and see. I really can't wait until Mitsubishi makes it offical.

EVO7 bumper on the 8
Well we have a U.K. Spec EVO7 here in Sacramento California where I work and I have had part of the front bumper off (to get that big air blocking front licence plate bracket off!!!) and from what I can see the EVO7 and 8 share the same hood-fenders-and headlights....so when I get my 8 I will ask the boss if I can test fit the bumper from the 7 on to my 8 then I will have to give Coordsport a call!! + =
