Need help, buying evo with minor flaws.. advice pls!

The bump is from rear diff. Don't buy the car since it doesn't seem right.

unless you are getting a SUPER DUPER POOPER deal on a used evo... i would NOT buy one. 17k.. slightly modded.. it's probably been beat on.. and you will be beat if Mitsu won't cover something because it's been modded.
if you have $25 for an evo... just eeeeek out a few more thousand and get a new one.
I came within a pubic hair of getting a used one with 6k on the ticker, and some mods including clutch, bov, boost controller, exhaust. I decided against it and bought a new one. Found out the next week after talking to Mark at turbotrix that he knew about the used car for sale. Apparently, the guy had trouble with his TC, and the dealer wouldn't service it because of an after market clutch.
Just my experiance...
and my opinion... don't do it.

Especially do a compression check, etc.
