I test drove the car and it seems to drive perfectly fine, but noticed a slight bump when accelerating sharply and switching to the next gear, feels exactly like someone left a basketball in the trunk, there were the rear mats in the trunk but i doubt that would have caused it??

The bump is from rear diff. Don't buy the car since it doesn't seem right.

Peace,

unless you are getting a SUPER DUPER POOPER deal on a used evo... i would NOT buy one. 17k.. slightly modded.. it's probably been beat on.. and you will be beat if Mitsu won't cover something because it's been modded.

if you have $25 for an evo... just eeeeek out a few more thousand and get a new one.

I came within a pubic hair of getting a used one with 6k on the ticker, and some mods including clutch, bov, boost controller, exhaust. I decided against it and bought a new one. Found out the next week after talking to Mark at turbotrix that he knew about the used car for sale. Apparently, the guy had trouble with his TC, and the dealer wouldn't service it because of an after market clutch.

Just my experiance...

and my opinion... don't do it.

I wouldn't buy that car, unless you know that person well. Or I'll pay a mech $100 to inspect it before I buy it.

Especially do a compression check, etc.
