Insurance questions... please help
Hey guys i am in need of some advice.. well me and my family... my dad covers my insurance ( yeah i know i'm spoiled slightly ) and since i got my lisence i had 2 accidents.. 1 of which was pure stupidity ( about 2 years ago )... and the other 6 months ago caused by slick roads ( i went up on a curb and the entire passenger side was scraped by a stop sign pole )... the fist accident cost 21,000 dollars the second of which cost 4000... we just got back from vacation and got a note that the insurance was dropped on the one car.... i am wondering... does anyone know of good insurance companys to go to to get a new policy?? geico, state farm or whatever... anyone with knowledge in this area please help

yeh most insurances that are cheap in price will not cover for one tiny little accident i scrapped my bumper and if i would have gone through my insurance they would have dropped me so i ended up payin out of pocket. so if you do find someone to insure you just like cmbjive said expect to pay.

Yep. But here's something you should know: Your accident records, if reported to police, only stay on your driving record for two years. Thereafter your record should be clean. So check your record with your DMV/MVA. If that's clear, you can just say you haven't had any accidents.
So don't be telling anyone you totalled a car unless they can easily look it up.

I am not sure of the legality/efficacy of this, but someone once suggested: Get yourself insurance as a driver without a car (or a cheezy car with coverage for other cars) then have your Evo insured under your dads name. If something happens claim on your policy first.

i have progressive and i think it's very expensive. I haven't made any claims yet except for a cracked windshield.
anyway, it's pretty expensive. I have 2 points on my record from way back in 2002 and am above 25, but my insurance is still over 2Gs. u can call and check but be prepared to pay an arm and leg.
good luck

im with progressive right now, had a couple things (speeding tickets) that will soon be off the record (nearly 3 years ago). I'm currently paying like 1100 bucks for 6 months, but thats with the fees for paying monthly. Oddly enough the medical portion of the insurance is the most expensive.
