C-G Lock

Just installed the CG-Lock, and it works. You do NOT move around int he seat. A very good solution for those of us who are not yet ready to install a cage, but who want the benefit of a more secure seating postion during track days, autocross etc. Great product. I am in no way associated with the manufacturer or any retailer.

So does this just lock the lap belt, or does the shoulder belt stay tight as well?

It only locks the lap belt, but it really holds you in the seat well. Amazing for the small cost of the device. Plus, you can totally disable it in a few seconds, and the belt operates as stock.

I have driven with a harness, and this is indeed 80-90% as good. It's not your upper body moving forward that messes up your balance in hard driving, it's your weight shifting from side to side. I went on a spirited drive today, and the difference was amazing in hard cornering, ability to set up for corners, smoother heel-toe downshifts, etc. Best 45.00 you can spend.

Agreed, the CG-Lock is great , worth every penny if you drive on a autox or road course.
Just be careful swinging the seatbelt around, with the CG-Lock installed it makes your seatbelt clip heavier (its made of steel) and could easily crack a drivers or passenger window if you hit it.

If you want a CG-Lock and get it from an EVOm vendor, I've got them. In fact I believe I was the first to post any info on this late last year. Never the less, I'm glad to see others have tried it and confirm what I said all along. Go to my link and purchase it using paypal.
