Interesting thread - at about 37K my right side cluster bulb went out. The fix took about 15 minutes with a new buld, phillips screw driver and some care taking thing apart and putting them back together again.

IF someone had a camera and some time it would make a quick how-to - although there may already be one.

Anyone knows what is the bulb model that sits in the cluster?? I think there are two types very small ones and the bigger ones. I think the ones lighting up the cluster are the 3 bigger ones, in the middle, and this model I need. I saw that somebody provided the part number for it but that is not what I'm looking for.

it's the 3 larger bulbs, the smaller ones are for warning lights.

i think the reason they burn out so quick is because they are constantly on, even in daytime when your driving lights are not on. get some LEDs so you don't have to replace them again.

A bulb just went out in my car and its making 1/2 of the speedo and 1/2 of the tach dark. Is there only 1 bulb type? I know MR444537 is one of them, just making sure.

Also, I just looked up on Mitsubishi CAPS program and I got 3 different bulbs. THe part numbers are:

MR444536
MN134600
8180A001

Someone on the first page of this thread typed in MR444537 instead of 6...

MR444536 - Clear bulb for warning light (SES, SRS, FUEL, DOOR)
MN134600 - Bulb with blue condom for lcd odometer
8180A001 - Bulb with white condom for speedomter and Tachometer(There are two of those so if one goes out, half of the cluster goes out.

MR444537 also says instrument bulb when I look at mitsubishiparts.net . I am not sure what that bulb is for.

I just took out the cluster. There are 16 of the others (MR444536). There is also the one you speak of which I have as part MN134600 (same as you).

However the 8180A001... I have 3 bulbs and also listed as MN134599. EDIT, now I typed in MN134599 is coming up as superceded by MR444537

The thing I don't get is "8180A001" and "MR444537 (MN134599)" seem like they are the same bulb but when you put in the part number in mitsubishiparts.net it comes up with 2 different prices.

Thats exactly the problem I was running into.

However, I called Mitsubishi today and 8180A001/MN134599 is the same part as MR444537. So I ordered 3 of MR444537

Sorry to bump an old thread, I'm stopping by the dealer today to pick up some bulbs and I would like this page to reference, just in case. So...tag.
