New car free mods?

I'm new to the Evo and was wondering if there was a thread out there (which I can't seem to find) that talks about what free mods can be done to a stock car. Like, most cars have an intake silencer that can be removed, or a TPS sensor that can be wiggled into better alignment for improved throttle response, that kind of stuff.

Thanks,
Sam

There really aren't any. It's pretty thought out from the factory.

yellowfever,Thanks for the reply (not really)

If you read my other post you'd know that mods are definately forth-coming, just not in the immediate future and I've owned this car for almost a week now and need to wrench on something!

evotexas,
I had a feeling that's what I'd hear, otherwise there'd be a sticky thread in this forum huh?

Thanks anyway,
Sam

Whatup,

You should make sure all your vac lines and intercooler piping is snug. That can affect boost of course.

I believe you'll get a little more boost if you remove the pill restrictor thingy.

You could throw some ice in the intercooler sprayer tank, heh.

One member reported that he picked up some trap speed at the drag strip by removing the cover to his airbox. You also get a pseudo bov type sound as well. In my experience, it seemed to hurt perf SOTP....

Take care,
