Need a little help with transmission fluid
Ok, I just put 1,200 miles on my Evo and I wanted to change out the transmission fluid, transfer case and rear differential fluids. I've never done this before, so I didn't know which fluids, they looked it up in the computer, and this is what they gave me! They seemed confused so I just wanted to check and see if this is the right shizzle before I F my transmission or anything up. They gave me this huge F'in jug of SAE 90 for just the rear diff, and 5 of those BG 75W-140 for the tranny and transfer case.
Is the part number for the oil filter right? I think they just hosed me for 10x more rear diff fluid than I need, but I guess it will keep till I do it again. At first they gave me tranny fluid for a regular '04 Lancer, and I called them on it, then they brought out this stuff 30 min later.
The part number for the rear diff, the huge f'in jug was: 3775610
752 for the other 5 bottles.
I'm planning on changing the fluids tomorrow, any insight would be great, I dont want to put the wrong shizzle in.
Thanks
-Dave

I recommend that you return the Mitsubishi oil filter, and instead, go buy a K&N HP-1008 Performance Gold oil filter. It will cost about the same as the Mitsubishi.
I like the K&N because it has a nut on top. You can put a 1" socket over it and turn it to loosen the filter.

I just seem to be reading a lot of different things. I decided to go OEM just to be careful. As far as reading the manual, it is safe to use the DiaQueen SAE 90 in the rear differential and transfer case. How do I know if its GL-5? It doesn't say on the jug.
The BG fluid for the manual transaxle... well it says 75w-85 or 75w-90... and the bg fluid the dealer gave me is 75W-140
Is this safe to use?
I want a bunch of opinions, just so I dont ruin anything. The car only has 1,200 miles on it, I'm not yet ready for anything to break!
