Hooby's plight.
Some Honda fanatic told me the VII looks like an Accord. I suppose there isn't really anything you can do to please everybody. Hooby's right, this is pointless.

I think that the front triangle is going to a part of their corporate trade mark on alot of the new vehicles. Alot of their other cars are sporting it now - checkout the Galant. Plus, notice how nicely the fits in it?! I think that if there is indeed a steel plate behind it, it's probably coincidental.
Anyway, I think we'll all be pleasently surprised when we see it in real life! It will be a thing of beauty for all to behold!
Plus, the thought of a 4G63 sitting behind that little triangle sure brings a to my face!

Actually the steel plate has a raised Mitsubishi symbol on the front of it. That way, anytime you rear end some one, it leaves a nice Mitsubishi symbol on their rear bumber. Talk about free advertising!

One thing I think that is missing (in detail) from all of these pictures of the Evo VIII is the the ridge in the hood going from the top of the triangle piece towards or all the way to the hood scoop. I have feeling that might make the car look a whole lot better than what we've seen.
