have you ever ridden in the leather evo? if your evo is your only car the comfort is well worth the few extra pounds, not to mention the headrests in the back. The recaros are incredibly comfortable either way but the backeast is 100 times better with the leather. Sorry just had to say that.
The mitsu dealer in ann arbor said he has sold about 30 evos so far, not too shabby.

Around here (oregon) I see about the same number of STi's and Evo's they seem to be about equal here which I find odd because even admited by some STi owners the Evo is a better built car and it costs slightly less.. hmm ....

Doing the sums from Mitsubishi's web site shows 2729 Evo's sold from January - July. Following that trend you get to the approx. 5000 / year number that seems to bandied about a lot.
Using the logic of how many I've seen to guess who produced more, Subaru or Mitsubishi, I would have to say it is a dead heat. In the last 6 moths I've seen 2 Sti and 2 Evos. I really don't think it is representative of the facts, though. I just think that I either go places where these cars are not found, travel at odd hours or there were not that many of either sold in the Atlanta area (most likely).
Best wishes,
