New Carbon Fiber Hood

I just got the OEM carbon fiber hood and was having some difficulties. Allignment is not perfect, I'm still working on that. The other thing is that the holes to attach the heat shield/?rain guard isn't there. How important is this to attach. I'm working on getting a stop drill to drill the holes, is this the way to go? Also the washer fluid sprayers don't fit, the hood is too thick, any ideas? Otherwise the hood looks great just not sure if I need the heat guard and rubber seal that goes around the peremeter. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Adam

Just put a piece of E tape on the drill bit where you want it to stop so you don't drill through the top of the hood. Mach the holes using the location of the hole of the OE hood.
The rain vent isn't that important right now untill winter comes. You don't want a snow drift in the engine bay.

Thanks for the help. The hood is from Z-1 performance. I used a plastic tube act as a drill stop. Got all the holes in place and installed all factory parts. Still some minor allignment thats not perfect, but I have a friend over at rouche(?sp.) industries who is working of the Ford GT that said he would help. Put up Pictures in members rides.

do you mean the louvre?? or the mesh part, i run without the louvre 98 percent of the time, i put it back on for about 2 weeks because of the snow we got, but if it doesnt rain all the time and no snow you will be fine without one
