Paint Fading on my Hood Vent

Mine started fading after 2 weeks of ownership. Painted it (and the mesh) with regular car paint (not high temp) to match the car color. It has been almost a full year, no issues at all.

Mine is also fading used 600 degree BBQ flat black paint. looks so much better know.

you guys know that your affecting the air flow through and over the engine, and creating turbulance for the air exiting. That vent was specificly designed to release hot air gradually so not to affect the air flow flowing over the hood

But i know it looks nice removed
