I heard from people who go to the great lakes dragway by Chicago that Adam from DSM tuning ran an 8.7XX this pass weekend with his Evo. ANybody know the details? Anybody got a video of this?
I was also in shock to find out that he runs somewhere close to 50 psi of boost!!!! WOW!

I don't know, all I know is what I posted. That's why I was hoping some of you would have the details.
I know for a fact that it was his fastest ever 8.7XX at 151 mph. His all time high up until this weekend was somewhere around 9.7, so he went an amazing 1 whole second down. It still sounds crazy to me, but I also know for sure that he runs 50+ psi of boost.

I also know that last time he was there, running all this boost, his intercooler blew and made a huge hole because according to him "someone's done a poor job welding the connecting intercooler pipes".

Yes, I got a call the minute the pass was done and he got his time slip ... 8.77@1515mph, but the 60 foot read .908. Adam doesn't buy the 60 foot time at all, he thinks that maybe something triggered the 60 foot beam, but he said the run was the best he'd ever had. He went 9.10@152, and then a 9.2 later lastnight when it got much colder, and he spun on the last two passes. Hopefully he backs the 8.7 pass up this coming weekend.

The 8.77 @ 151 is practically impossible, well, it is impossible. But if he was running low 9's that's still awesome, so let's see some more info!
Edit: This isn't a RWD drag evo is it? Ie. the former Evo AMS converted to RWD.

cool, lots of talk in the above-posted link to the thread about whether he is street legal or not.
Well, from what I know, that Evo is street legal in every way EXCEPT it would fail emissions because it obviously has no cat and all the other exhaust participants.
What this means is that if a bunch of cops pull him over and don't do an emission test on it right there on the spot (give me a break), he will NOT be ticketed for having anything street illegal.

he has an evo 4, evo 2, and our new evo.
I'm not sure which one puts out the monster times.
I know he uses one only for drags, although still "street legal". That he dynoed a long time ago at 850hp. That was when he was still in the 10's/high 9's. He now has close to 1000hp and will dyno again soon to give exact numbers.
One Evo is his daily car (white with black rims, I think it's the evo 4), which cranks out a mere 400hp.
