This was the biggest power upgrade that I could actually say ,wow this made a big difference ...

Actually any cam upgrade is a big difference...

Ill say this my buddies stock sti he tested on a roll 5-60 mph was about 5.8 seconds,I tried it after my cams and got the best of 4.6 seconds, granted this is not scientific or perfectly accurate but it shows how much torque the evo has after a 264 upgrade...

didnt do a before cam test which i should of done

On a launch much better times

That is what i want to know also. Really wants cams, but worry that it will reduce the engine's life.

If you get a set of cams with mild lift (HKS, WORKS) and take care of the engine, there's no reason why engine life will be significantly reduced. They should last just as long as a stock engine. Cams that are more aggressive that have more lift might decrease the life of the valve springs.

The #1 cause for short engine life is from detonation due to bad tuning.

cams move your power band, so instead of having max power from 3-6k you'll have it from 4-7....im sure thats probably what he meant.
