Autometer Guages Reliable??

in the lancership site..they have that autometer deal with pods for less than 300 bucks

EVO Triple Black 52mm Gauge Pod + 3 Carbon Fiber Gauges

http://www.lancershop.com/combo_deal_packs.htm

I just wonder if anyone here is using it...and how's it?

I know you get what you pay for..and I know Defi is the best..but I do not want to spend near 900 on guages... I just want to get something that is close to accurate and WORK!..

thanks to all people reading this.

They are reliable. I have had the EGT, Boost and A/F gauges for over a year now. No malfunctioing. No lights burnt out. All around good quality stuff.

IT depends on which of the autometer gauges you use.. Generally I use pro-comp and Sport-comp gauges.. I've used those for just about 20 years now with only one problem which was replaced quickly.

Ive used autometer for 15 years and never had a problem until the last 6 months. Its been a nightmare. Ive given up on them and went Defi. By the way I used phantom guages.

yeah, I think the top of the line autometers (Pro-Comp and Sport-Comp and their sub-categories) are much better quality than the ones based on the less expensive AutoGage line of gauges.. Pro racers have used autometer gauges for years.. Before that Stewart Warner were the gauges to have..

I've had good experiences autometer gauges.. I can't really change someones opinion, or the fact that they have had a bad experience.. But as long as you research your options.. You'll find alot of good products out there.. But don't get the JDM gauges just because their made in japan.. SunTune gauges are also made in japan (if you know what they are you're about as old as I am.. hehe)

I have had many bad experiences with auto meter, I stick to a higher quality Electonic gauge now.
