i'm looking into an evo as well. does anyone know how many changes are there from the 03 are the 04 models performance-wise? my dealer has a brand new 03 w/ 65 miles on it. i want it. also, how much faster is an 04 rs compared to the standard model?

If you actually want to buy an Evo with the realistic amount of money you are talking about, think about buying a used one. You might find one around 25k or less, who knows.
That teg is worth about a 1/3rd of what you are talking about. If it was a 99, you might have a point but no way that 94 is worth 9-11k. Unless you meant Special K's, in which case, yeah, it's worth a few cereal flakes that are grrrrrrrreat!

Well considering the fact that I have spent 6000 on that car I think I can get a pretty decent price out of it. And I dont want my parents buying this car, wheres the satisfaction in that?

this forum is funny lol, people dont even say hi to new members, just automatically start trying to tell you that what your doing is inconceivable. I havent seen a single welcome yet and not even a "good luck with your evo purchase" lol, nice guys.

yeah, thats whats going to happen. Ive already thoroughly talked this over with my parents, they said that if I can handle the payments they dont car and will help me in any area that I can be helped in. Im using some money I get from relatives for graduation to help me with the car too.

we'll welcome you when you actually have the evo... lol jk... well welcome fluxedspeed.. at least to evom.net... I just dont want you to be disappointed at the end thats all
Im 25 right now.. when I was your age I did the exact same thing... used all my savings/cash for a downpayment on an eclipse GS-T, and for the next 3 years I was a slave to my car that was depreciating in value everyday... fortunately, I paid it off with financial from my school (i know i know...) anyways the point Im trying to make is... if you own an evo at the early age of 17, there really wouldnt be any other cars in the future that could satisfy you... and that could be a very bad thing... no doubt u'll be making more than $1000 as you gain working experiences and education... but the point is it is rather disturbing (at least to me) to make payments on your car when it has already reached high mileage
if the LS is running fine, i'd honestly say keep it... and wait till u save the lump sum and pay off the evo at the time of purchase
