Purchasing an Evo Soon

Just thought Id stop by and say hi to everyone. Currently I own a 94 Integra LS, one night I started thinking and realized the teg wasnt doing it for me anymore. I wasnt getting any satisfaction or happiness in driving it, so I started researching...and decided on the Evo VIII. I plan on selling the Integra here soon for a good 9-11k (In perfect condition) and using that money as a down payment for a Evo. Im 17 and I work my *** off as I work two jobs and make about 1000 a month (Its cool living with your parents because you dont have to worry about other payments besides your car ) Im planning on purchasing a black or silver Evo still trying to decide, prolly going to see if I can get a new 2003 from a dealership for around 26-28k. Just thought Id stop by and share with everybody about my intentions on buying the car, I cant wait

1) How many miles on Integra?
2) Auto or 5-spd?
3) sedan or coupe?
4) stock or modded?

a 94 LS was around $18,000 brand new, back in... 1994...

ure telling me the value of your 10 year old vehicle only depreciated by 40 to 50%?

You need to make more than that to afford an Evo. You will end up selling the car at a big loss.

thank god my evo is already paid off
but bro... lets just say u have some savings, sold your '94 LS, and come up with $10,000
an evo is roughly $30,000 so you are borrowing $20,000

I really dunno how good a 17 year old's credit will be... but lets just say they approve the loan, and you have to pay it off in 5 years

$20,000/5years/12 months blah lets say that comes to about $400 a month including interest

what about insurance? Im 24 and my insurance is $200 a month
im assuming urs will be close to $350 being only 17
so ure spending $750 a month on your car... and thats without any gas going in the car yet.. ure left with roughly $250 to spend per month

is it worth it?

You MUST be 18. He's too young and at 18 he cant get a car either unless he has a co-signer. 17 is out of the Q and 18 ONLY w/co-signer

a 94 GSR is only worth 3,850 and an RS is only worth 2,775. That is with mileage listed as 0 and in perfect condition. Good luck getting 10K out of anyone.

what is even funnier is if you add mileage and change the condition to something a little more believeable for a 10 year old car, it responds "no value"

my mom has an integra...she tried getting me to buy it from her

believe me, 94 integra ain't gonna be worth 10k...unless you have the blood of a hustler and can negotiate the dealership to take a 10k trade in on a 10yr old acura...
