Just change your oil at 1000 miles and every three thou after that.

I wouldn't sway towards conventional motor oil. If the EVO liked it, don't you think the bean counters at Mitsu would use cheap conventional motor oil instead of full synthetic?

I've just hit 600 miles and changed to Royal Purle too. I used it in my race bike and the stuff is awesome. it idles smoother, lower operating temperature and oil analysis showed very little breakdown after 2 track weekends. If it's good enough for a $10K motor that revs to 14K I'm sure ti will work great in the Evo.
