yeh, 03's have the blue ones with blue gel cover.

I've just did this, took 10 minutes.

Everything is about 30% more brighter but it looks like the odometer stayed the same on mine.

Is this right?

Great job bolsen, I like~

so should we get the 194 gels?

are the bulbs the #74s?

how do you remove the buttons and gel the bulbs for the fog light and dimmer switch?

easy to make the needles - use 2 spoons or something to pry the needle off the gauge cluster mechanism, then simply take RUBBING ALCOHOL or paint thinner and thoroughly strip the paint off the needle using a towel or something - also q-tips work great also.

Then let it dry - make sure it is all off, then use a paint marker and paint the bottom or top of the needle (make sure its consistent and evenly painted. Let it dry, put it back on the gauge cluster. Might need to reset the needles, then you are done - GLOWING NEEDLES.

Yes, that'll work, but if you do that method, they won't come out the way mine look, just in case you are wondering.

Also, be very careful with the paint thinner on the needles, they'll turn white if you leave them on too long, as the thinner is too harsh for the soft plastic.

silly question time! i've got an es (extra slow :P ) but want to change the gauge lights on my own cluster. Now if i'm reading this right you can access the cluster lights from behind the cluster itself? or do i have to remove the needles/cover (which is something i WON'T do.. i screwed my car up once trying to get the reverse glow thingy working)

any input mucho appreciated!

No, you can get to the bulbs from behind the gauge cluster. No need to remove the needles or anything.

*GASP*

oh man...now i've gotta do it. i'd feel a lot better knowing where exactly the light(s) i need to replace are though. would it require me actually unplugging the whole thing and flippingit around or do i just reach behind the thing and fiddle with the lights there? *curious*
