DIY Better adjustable stock BOV!! Free mod!
Here's a mod to improve the stock bov pressure holding capability. This mod is similar to the 1G BOV crush mod. Unlike the 1G BOV , the Evo's BOV is plastic therefor we cannot use the crush method. Instead, we will SCREW it! 
Well, here's how.
(1) get 2 - 3 fine thread screw shown in pic.
(2) Drill one hole at a time on the top of the BOV. The holes must be drill on the outer top of the BOV. you want to drill starting from where the spring coil ends. You can locate the spring by simply puting a magnet on the top of the BOV.
(3) After you drill the hole, you will see the metal spring under the plastic that you've just drilled. 1 or 2 screw should be enough. If you failed to locate the spring on the first attempt, just simply close the hole with a screw. and then try again.
(4) The drill bit that you use should be slightly smaller than the screw you have. This way the screw will go in snug.
(5) After you have finished with the mod, replace the BOV and go for a test! Tightening the screw too tight will create the stalling problem associated with aftermarket BOV. Good Luck guys!!

This mod is more geared to the guys that are upping the boost. It's not a performance mod, it's more like a reliablility mod.
The stocker won't hold anything over 24psi

Ok, understood. So this would work well if I put in a manual boost controller or something then?

I realized that the boost really held up. I'm boosting 21PSI. The advantage of this mod is because its free, and It really does hold up boost. Nrcooled is rite, this mod is good for people that up their boost. If the screw is tightened too tight you will get the stalling issues like the aftermarket BOV. I have been through 3 aftermarket BOVs already. And yup! Back to the stocker. 1 to 3 screws should be enough.

Did you find the screws leaked vacuum after you drilled it? I see what your doing here, drilling holes that line up with the spring and putting additional tension on the spring.. Once you drill the holes, you might want to point out that people should use machine screws and not self-tapping screws.. this way the spring has a flat surface to lean against... I also recommend placing 4 or 5 screws equally spaced around the perimeter of the spring seat so you have even adjustment this way you CAN hold boost over 24psi..
