question about my BR exhaust
Hey guys,
i just got my BR 3" turbo back exhaust in yesterday. I'm about to go install it and I have a few questions. the exhaust did come with any instructions, but I don't quite a few exhaust installs on other cars. I have a quick question. What are these 5 1" diameter x 3/8" thick spacers. I haven't been up under the car yet to check but I was just wondering. thanks for any help.
here's a pic of the hardware.

I would be willing to bet those are for the lower cross members. The front has 3 bolts, rear has 2. These will help the cross members clear the downpipe. I put on a BR system last month, but mine did not include these. I had to use a few washers.

well it would make sense to me. If so I'm just gonna make some spacers to match the lower cross member bar exactly. I have some 1/8" cold roll steal that i could make some spacers to match a little better. and should i just reuse my old gaskets or should i go to the auto parts store and get new gaskets. the car only has 3700miles on it.

ok now that I've look a little more what does the rest of the hardware go to....hahahha... there are 7=1 1/2" bolts with lock washers. and there are 2= 2 1/4" bolts with 2 large flat washers on each on plus a nut. and then there are 3 nuts. errrrr.... this sucks, I hate when stuff doesn't come with instructions.

I got the flanged test pipe. it's part flange. from the dp to the test pipe is flanged and the test pipe to cat back it a slip fit design. I finally got it together. everything lined to great. but my only question is. I has a very slight vibration around the dp and engine. I know it's not hitting anything, cause when i rev it up is goes away. do you think it just the piping not haveing those sheild.
I know one thing. if this exhaust didn't sound so freakin good and make the car run like a bat out of hell. I would have boxed it all up and sent it back. I got so frustrated not haven't any insturction. i'm just use to following the instruction with what bolt goes where and how much to torque certian bolts down. I didn't have a clue of what hardware I needed to resuse. So, i just basically sat down and figure everything out before I put it on. If I would had some instuction. it would have been a breeze. I wouldn't have a complaint at all, beside the stupid UPS beating the crap out of my box of stuff and putting a dent in my catback pipe and a half dollar size dent in my down pipe. If my muffler would have a dent in it. I would have filed a complaint to UPS. every single package I get from them is damaged or the box is beat to hell. Oh well. it's all behind me now and the car runs and sounds great. I've just gotta readjust my MBC because it's runing about 2 psi more then it should.
damn that exhaust sounds so good.
