How do you set up the Hks Evc V
Hey, I just bought the HKS EVC V and got it installed. The problem is I don't know how to set it up. It didn't come with instructions so I called HKS and they faxed me instructions for a quick set up. The problem with that is, they are confusing and hard to read. If any body could walk me through it I would really appreciate is. I am anxious to see what my evo can do with it.

Okay I tried to set it but I still can't get it right, I think I spiked to high, my car bogged down in third and my service engine light came on?
I would appreciate any input on this?
thanks

Assuming the install is correct, adjust the settings to 0 on both A and B volume. Set your peak hold at what you want...I don't know what mods you run, so be safe at 19psi. If you exceed 19psi, or what you set it for, it shuts down and goes back to stock map.
Now, I set my A volume at 40 and your B volume at 80. My peak is set @ 22psi. For me, 40 = 16.8psi and 80 = 21.8psi.
Adjust your volumes according to your preferances in third gear on the highway.
Avoid scramble boost for now. To confusing and not necessary for setup.

are you using the psi version or the kpa? psi also has a offset adjsustment that you should really play with it makes the car react quiker, but a warning it will get fustrating because as you adjust the offset, boost will cahange and you will over boost many times till you get it just right. you will have to adjsut the peak boost as you adjust offset values to lower boost but once the offset is where you like it boost comes on faster and stronger.
its very confusing to right it down but if you go out driving and fool with it you will understand.
