I just got the Seibon carbon fiber hood for my Evo, but I'm having trouble with the fitment of the screws. I tried using both the stock screws and the screws the company provided me, but they only go in half-way. Should I try smaller screws or put a rubber spacer in between? I don't want to over tighten them and strip the thread. Also, is it absolutely necessary to use hood pins? Thanks.

 

I used the silver bolts that came with the hood. They were snug but I tightened them all the way and they were fine.
