Perrin fuel rail install question

I'm getting ready to install the Perrin fuel rail and was wondering, there's a gold color tube that joins 2 hoses together that mounts on the top of the rail, can I reroute that so it doesn't sit on top of the fuel rail? To give it a cleaner look. Unless there is a valid reason why that needs to be on there I see no need to have it there.

Here's a pic I found.

Thanks.

It seems Mitsu did this in many places. One being all the air lines/pipes on the valve cover. They love joining rubber hoses with the metal piping.

Thanks for the reply.

You don't need to re-install the gold metal fuel return line. See the pic attached, I used the hose that Perrin included in the kit...

Cool evo will. The fuel rail is on it's way so I guess I would have known that I could reroute the fuel return seeing that hose in the kit.

Evoisdream, I already have Denso 660cc injectors. I should have upgraded the fuel rail a while ago.

I don't know if this is by accident or whatnot, but the item "boxed" in this photo is the throttle cable. Did you happen to mean the braided line also depicted in this photo?

It's under the throttle cable. I knew what he was pointing out.

Evoisdream, I'm using the old school S-AFC. Seems to be doing fine for what I want to get out of it but in the near near future AEM-EMS is a definite must.

Very true. Good point. Sometimes I assume too much.

How would you swap the injectors once you already have the perrin fuel rail installed? Do you have to remove the rail again?

Would a retune be necessary if upgrading just the fuel rail? I have heard it can help throttle response and also prevent lean conditions.
