Question- How long it take s to install the clutch

how long does it take to install the clutch on an Evo VIII

It is the double plated exedy clutch,...

Some say it takes a **** load of time, 1-2 days,.....because they have to remove the differentials etc ,

and others say with a special tool to release the clutch, it can be replaced in about 2-3 hours....

If a shop is doing it on a lift, shouldn't take longer than 4-5 hours if they know what they're doing. If you're doing it yourself in the driveway on your back, expect atleast 8-10 I would say. It's a very difficult job if you don't have the right tools.

We have the Evo install god here in the Jerzy/NY area. He goes by the name of Gill, he is known for doing clutches in 2 1/2 hours! No one has ever had any problems because he is the best, and does all my installs at awesome prices.

He personally has an evo and does a lot of work for a lot of people who race. Can easily find him on http://evo-ny.com under the name super
