Defi BF Control Box help

Since EvoMoto's tech site is offline now, I was wondering if anyone out there knew exactly what wires to tap to install the control box for Defi BF series.

So far I know 3 of the 4 wires:

Ignition = Pinout 82
Ground = Pinout 13 or 26
Power = Pinout 80

Now we tried to use Pinout 12 for the "illumination" wire but it doesnt seem to auto-dim when the lights are turned on. Any ideas on this?

Anyone want to make a complete Defi BF install guide for the Evo?

Just use a volt meter. It is really easy to tell which wire is which -- at least when you are tapping the radio wiring harness.

Well I am not electrically inclined. Does anyone know which wire to use for the "illumination" wire (white) ?

It is not hard. Pull out the radio harness and use a volt meter to check each pin -- red to pin, black to ground. One wire will be always hot, i.e. 12 V (power), one wire will be hot when the ignition is on and off when the ignition is off (ignition), one wire will be hot when the ignition and the lights are on and off when either is turned off (illumination). Quite simple and logical.

You have now identified all the appropriate wires and don't need to trust some random information on the internet.

EDIT: Sorry didnt read all your posts, I though you were having a problem with the dimming control.

There is an ajustment on the box for the dimming. Turn on your lights then on the control box two of the buttons ( i think the arrow buttons) adjust the dimess and the highest setting is just as bright as when the lights are off. I think this is your problem. Hope this helps.
