How To: Change your O2 Housing
Note: That there may be different or easier ways to take off the O2 Housing!
1. Wait for car to cool down!
2. Jack up the Car
3. Take off Lower Arm Bars
4. Take off DP
5. Take out Radiator ( i have the Koyo, so there wasn't enough room for me to take off the bottom heat shield. If you have stock may be you can take off the bottom Shield)
6. Take off the Top and Bottom Heat shields
7. Take off the O2 Sensor on the O2 Housing
8. Take off L bracket thats holding the O2 Housing up!
9. There are 3 bolts on top of the O2 Housing all 14mm, take them off.
10. THere are 2 bolts on the bottom of the O2 Housing. The one thats visible use a long extenstion! The bolts thats right under the O2 Housing its eaiser if you buy a long 14mm wrench for it, if not its going to be a while to take that off!
11. Now put the new O2 housing on and go 10>9>8>7......

Mods you can do at that time: Tubular manifold, O2, upgraded wastegate actuator, 10.5cm2 hotside and it is a bunch easier to remove the O2 sensor.

Oil lines are what kinda bolts, banjos?
I need a focking diagram of this stuff...

like a 17mm on the feed line banjo bolt on the head.
Really not as much work as you think or maybe I forgot how hard it was
Without removing the turbo and manifold you will end up with a dented to hell condenser and radiator. I can't imagine trying to remove the O2 sensor while on car :shakes head: (major PITA on or off the car).
My honest opinion is that the O2 housing alone is not worth the energy unless you do any other supporting mods while you are in there.

(context note: I stripped one of the dp->o2 housing bolts last night)

I did it by removing the following:
Down Pipe (because I was installing a new one anyways
Exhaust Manifold
Turbo Hotside ONLY ( I did not remove the entire turbo, I left the compressor wheel and intake side all intact. There is a clamp that holds them together. BE VERY CAREFUL TAKING THIS OUT!!!) - The 02 housing is connected to this.
Make sure that all of the brackets (I don't remember how many; once you are in there you can tell) are taken off so that you can remove Hot Side and 02 Housing.
With the Manifold out and the down pipe off this will come out pretty easy. Be careful removing it as not to hit the wheel!!
This makes it very easy to get at all 4 bolts holding it on as they are probable in the hot side pretty good.
I hope this helps.

Funny no one mentions removing the maf/intake out and loosening the driver's side ic pipe brackets so that you can remove the fan/radiator. Need to do this because of the 2 brackets that stick out of the fan shroud. The fan/radiator will not slide past the ic hose without doing this.
Don't forget to unhook the fan relay(?) and the connector when removing the radiator/fan.
I just installed a Full-Race Pro Stock HPC coated header with an aftermarket O2 housing.
Caution: As stated earlier, you can easily dent the radiator just by pushing on it slightly. Be very carefull!

Old thread but I just replaced my O2 housing today. I just removed the o2 housing only and I also didn't pull the radiator. It sucked and I never ever ever want to do another one.
