helix intercooler pipes wtf???

I just got the helix intercooler pipe kit.. question is are the T clamps supposed to move?? I tightened the **** out of them and I can still spin the ****ers around? so now the car is just sittin, cuz I don't want to put all that **** back on and have hoses poppin off as soon as I punch it....

also when I was tightening the two bolts back on the pipe coming off the compressor, I think I cross threaded one.. because it doesn't tighten all the way... it barely has a gap, and I tried to wiggle it and it doesn't move..
you think thats gonna come back to haunt me later????

Hi,

Where did you get the IC pipings from?

Please givem me a call tomorrow and let try to help you our. Also, you can reuse your old hose camps for now if some of the t-bolts doesn't fit. As for the compressor, you might want to unscrew it and slowly screw it in so the black pipe will fit prefectly flat with the compressory. You do not want any gap in between because boost will leak out. Word of advise...it will be much easier if you remove the starter.

Thanks,
Tom

you're lucky, if I tighten them any more I think I'll break em... its to the point my deep sockets don't even fit over the threads now to reach the nut ...

Mine did the same, I then realized they were the wrong sized T-bolts. I just used my stock clamps, they work fine.

yeah .. i have to remove some of the t-bolts myself and use stock clamps .. apparently the OEM clamps works better than the T-Clamps ... or maybe its just me.. hehe

damn my shi t-t is doing the same thing. i took every thing off and put it back on and i still have the problem. i also thought that i had crossed threaded the bolt from the discharge pipe but i didnt and that went on fine with the gasket. every thing looks good but i cant figure it out. gruppe-s here i come (when i get time off work)
