How to Drill CF

Can anyone tell how to and what precautions I should take to drill in finished CF. I have the VIS CF Trunk and I want to install a EVO 7 wing on it.

PS I live in Turkey so it will take a day for me to reply.

Lay a 2 or 3 layers of green or blue painters masking tape on the area where you wanna drill. Make all your marks on the tape and use a nice new sharp drill bit at a fairly high rate of speed. IF you can pre drill it with a dremmel and a small drill bit do that, then use progressivley larger bits. Thats how I did mine. Not a scratch.

make sure you put it on both sides. you're less likely to have thread come un-bonded. after you have the final hole make sure you re-apply clear coat or other type of resin/poly to seal the weave again. you don't want it unbonding, believe me.

Well i can tell you that driving an EVO on Turkish Roads is fun. They use Marble in the roads because it is cheaper - which makes the raods VERY slick (the raods are slicker when dry rather than wet lol). I can break traction in 1st and 2nd and somtimes 3rd gears.

I didn't have a choice. The USAF said that I had 2 options… They ship the car to Turkey at their cost or I had to store the car on my own dime. There is no way that I could I afford to store the car I am still paying for it. Fun to drive here tho, when 140 on the auto bonn yesterday.
