How do you reset the ECU?
I want to reset the stock ecu. The only knowledge i have on it is to unplug the positive on the battery then turn the ignition to the accessory's and then tap the brakes and such and just drain the power thats already there. Then wait 30 min and then plug the positive back on the battery and then your good to go..
Is that right or am i wrong? Thanks

i have to reset it cause the map thats on there now might be screwing up the fuel thats getting to the car not sure... the car isnt running correctly and by resetting the ECU i can get the stock map back on.
Now is it POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE.. it has to be positive

I think the OP wants to go back to the stock VIII/IX map. I dont think reseting the ECU with the unplug battery cable method will work. That would render a tune thatt you pay $500 for useless when you swap out your dead battery.
you'll need to flash your car back to stock
you'll need to flash your car back to stock
