I was looking for replacement keyless entry remotes not too long ago and I found a site that had them for Evo and Eclipse
I had them delivered in less than a week and the programming instructions only took maybe 10 seconds?
Anyways, here's a link to the site:
Just click the Mitsubishi category, or type LANCER in their search box.

Oh yeah, the instructions I have are:
All you have to do is insert your key into the ignition but leave your key off.
Insert a jumper wire between Pin 1 and Pin 4 on your DLC.
(Pin1 is farthest left on the larger side of the DLC. The DLC is mounted under the driver side dash pointing straight down.)
Once you have the pins shorted immediatly press your hazard switch on and off six times.
Your locks will then unlock then lock.
Press the lock button on your new remote three times in one minute and thats all it takes.
You can follow the same procedure again if you have more than one remote. I currently have three remotes programmed.

the slots are actually number with very very small numbers. they should not be empty slots. make sure slide the wire inbetween the metal. as soon as thats done, immediatley press the hazard 6 times.
also make sure the key is on the 2nd position (out of 4 positions)

I know this is almost 4 years old, but in case anyone else finds it, I thought I'd re-iterate the process that just worked for me (2006 USDM Evo IX):
1) Insert key and turn to first position (ACC)
2) Jump pins 1 and 4 on the OBD-II connector
3) ** Here is the key - immediately after jumping the two pins, press the Hazard Light Switch 6 times within 10 seconds.
4) The doors will lock and unlock, confirming that you are in programming mode
5) Press the Lock button 3 times (once, then two more times) on the first remote to program
6) The doors will lock and unlock again, confirming the successful programming of the remote.
7) Repeat step 5 for all other remotes, up to 4.
8) To exit Programming mode, do one of the following:
a) Turn the key to off
b) Remove the key
c) Remove the jumper wire
d) Do nothing for 1 minute
9) After exiting programming mode, its always a good idea to test out the remote to ensure the doors lock and unlock as commanded.
Note: Once you enter programming mode, all previously programmed remotes will be erased, so be sure to reprogram all the remotes you would like to use, up to 4.
Note: The driver door does not need to be closed.
Note: If a remote is not programmed within 1 minute of the doors locking and unlocking, the car will exit programming mode, and all remotes will remain erased.
Hope that helps someone in the future!

This is pertinent to me because I'm now learning to become a programmer. I am always acquiring fresh knowledge that I need for myself. I've started coming here more frequently as of late. There are lots of helpful articles where I can learn useful programming advice https://www.programmingassignment.ne...ramming-tools/ . I was reading about the top software development tools only the other day. Now that I've learned about the list of programming tools available, I can help you achieve. This is an excellent resource.
