A-Pillar Drilling

A-Pillar Drilling
Has anyone ever drilled a hole into their A-Pillar to mount a gauge panel or anything else. Considering the hole is quite small and fairly close to the area where the pillar meets the roof, do you think I weakened the car in the long run? Im starting to feel really $hitty about putting that hole into my A-pillar just for these freaking gauges. Can someone else please tell me they have drilled into the pillar before and give me some comfort!
Thanks

Im talking about drilling a hole into the A-pillar, a component of the car's structural system. The hole has been their for a while now and the guage pod sits great, I'll post some pics. My concern is when I start tracking the car (autox, roadcourse) and I really begin to start twisting the chasis. Im sure its nothing but seeing things like cracked windshields really illustrates the stresses put on the vehicles structure during roadcourse and tight racing.
I used industrial velcro from lowe's and that thing was falling off everytime I exited an on ramp. You must be a real tame driver for that to work

Why ruin the integrity of the car's frame especially if you are planning on using your car for autox, you definitely want to most when putting the car through extremes but if its just a small hole smaller than 1 inch in diameter, should be no problem then. Plan on putting a role cage in the car for autox? This would make up the difference.
