I have a 9 MR and the fog lights only work when the headlights are on. I would like to be able to turn on the fog lights when only the parking lights are on.

Anyone know the steps needed to accomplish this?

I would totally do this but I don't feel like ripping apart my dash for something I'm not going to be using on a regular basis.

I think it's kind of ridiculous that they don't work without the headlights being on.

There have been times where conditions have been so bad that the headlights were washing out everything making it impossible to see and wanted ONLY fog lights functioning.

This is the first car i've had where the fogs don't function in parking mode.

i have mine wired up so i can have them on any time with a switch, stock switch no longer works but i can have my fogs on with my car off...

is there a write up on how to do this? the only thing i found is the circuit board one. is there an easy way to do this like cut and splice kinda deal?

i ran a constant 12v wire to a switch and the other side of the switch goes to the foglight relay. whenever i flip the switch power goes to the relay and turns them on.

Like dan said, power the relay and they will come on. The PCB one is just a holding circuit to maintain the functionality of the stock button. Since its a SPDT puch button switch without a locking mechanism the relays (actually transistors in his PCB i think) hold it on until another press interupts and the hold breaks. You could disconnect that foglight switch and run power through it and to the foglight relay, but then you would have to hold the switch in for them to stay on.
