rubber blocks holding front springs

Hi Everyone,

I was just wondering if you're supposed to remove those rubber blocks that clamp onto the springs of the front struts. There seem
to be 2 blocks per strut.

I talked to Vishnu Race shop and they told me it's not necessary?

Anyone know what their function is?

Steve

yes, remove them. they are there for shipping purposes only and are supposed to be removed by the dealer during the PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection).

welll...vishnu doesnt know anything and by them saying this, dont trust them. They probably dont even know how to tune cars. Those rubber blocks are only there so the car is slightly higher and will not drop any lower during bumps because of shipment. Having this on ur car is very dangerous and will make ur car's handling really poor. To take it off, jack up one side of your car and with DISPOSABLE LATEX GLOVES, just pull it off. It will take u one second per block to take off. The hardest part is jacking the car up.

BTW, who from Vishnu told you this BS?

Yeah I called my Mistu dealer and they said they're supposed to come off.

Brett at Vishnu is who I talked to.

I drove around for 3 months with them on. The first fell off during an autox. The second I removed at the same event. I thought I had gotten them all until a week ago when I saw one still wedged in between the spring and the fender...no longer in place.
