blacking out headlights...sanding???
hey
i was talking to a co-worker about blacking out my headlights.He said it wasnt necessary to sand all the chrome off,just enought to make primer stick to it.is this true?

I did a quick sand to scuff it up a bit with a scour pad and cleaned with alcohol. They came out great.
That is the easy part. The getting them apart portion is where it is so time consuming.

I bought sand paper and never used it. I actually used Krylon Fusion. I didn't even use primer because it's pointless when this stuff was designed for smooth plastic. They came out awesome.
