You will need a 8/125 thread "slap hammer " . There is a threaded hole on both sides of the center shaft . It is easier to pull out from the drivers side. Unless you want to take off the subframe and power steering . After you get the center shaft out . you will need to adjust attitude ( up & down ) of the engine to get the tranfer case out. A fender well engine hoist will help you accomplish this . Also it is a little easier if you take out the STUDS that hold the engine mount ( drivers side ) . And that gold bracket ( Air box). Hope this helps

One more thing . Make sure to release the throwout bearing FIRST . See that gold cap just below the clutch slave , pop it off and use long screwdriver to release . Also , when you get to your flywheel , check for grooves . The flywheel may need resurfacing . If it does , make sure you grind EVENLY across the ENTIRE friction surface . DO NOT let the grinding wheel dig in . A light grinding should due . You do Not have to take the flywheel off to do this . A small pnuematic grinder will due .

About the flywheel resurfacing. Never use a hand grinder to resurface a flywheel. Take the flywheel to a Shop and have it done properly. After all the time spent to R&R would you want to have to do it again.
