ikeya sequential shifter install request
#2
turns out the part is pretty well designed and more or less drops in.
the cables have to be flipped so the right hand side cable goes on the left and vice versa.
mark the cables with a marker for an index for each gear. when you reconnect the cables to the new shifter you need a little help finding gear to shifter match. Plus, once you have the cables connected you need to adjust the linkage a tad, match the index marks so they appear as on the original.
attach the shifter indicator piece with power on, screw in until the correct gear is indicated on the light, check the other gears, tighten the bolt. if incorrect try more turns in or out with the threaded bolt.
two items I can't discern, 1, looks like a piece needs to be cut off a flange on the outside of the trans. 2, three supplied ball ended bolts, they go on the trans. (
?)
