Painting Carbon Fiber?

Does anybody know what steps need to be taken to prepare and paint carbon fiber.....or is it the same as painting aluminum....I ask this because I'm planning to buy seibon carbon fiber front fenders(getting a good deal on them ...) ....and well it does hail a lot out here so it pretty much destroys the stock aluminum ones if you don't have a car port... so i've decided to buy carbon fenders and paint them because I like the apex silver look my car has now....but yeah I was just hoping someone could give me some helpful input on this matter thanx for your time.......

Painting carbon fiber is no different than painting a clearcoated body panel. Scuff the surface with a grey scotch brite pad, or wet sand it with 400 or 600 grit sandpaper. I would recommend wetsanding. Apply sealer, basecoat and clearcoat.
