torque a battery?

I herd that when installing a mini battery your supposed to torque it to 50 lbs/in and anymore can cause battery failure. how would I be able to tell how much torque my battery has, and what does it even mean by 50 lbs/in of torque. Maybe this can explain why my new battery keeps dying on me.

Never heard of this. I have a mini battery and did not torque it down.
