Seat and armrest cleaning.
The front edge of my armrest and the part of the seat close to my armrest is kind of getting dirty. It isn't real bad, but I can tell it could be a issue if not kept clean often.
What is the best procedure and product to use on the fabric of the armrest and the same type fabric that is on the seats?
Also, what is the best leather steering wheel cleaner?
Thanks

I have been using a thin coat of Armor All (non-gloss) on the dash and plastic trim on the interior door panels. Also use it on the exterior rubber trim around the windows and around the hood vent. No problems so far.
Where is the best place to get Griots? I have never heard of that brand before. Is it a spray type thing or what?

I went to a shoe store in the mall and bought a suede shoe cleaner for the seats. It consists of an eraser and small brush. I also picked up a can of scotch guard for the rear seats. The eraser works well in cleaning and the brush works well in wiping of the eraser debris and brushing out the suede and keeping it's consistancy. I also use meguiars interior plastic/rubber spray for my dash and center console. It's not very glossy, and I agree with leif, armor all is crap.

Griots stuff is just amazing. A little pricey but well worth the money! Their speed shine (aka quick detailer) is the best I've ever used.

Use Lexol on your dash and interior plastics. Use Lexol (for leather) for steering wheel.
Still not sure what to do about the suede and fabric.
Armor All will destroy your dash overtime. Stay away from it.

I have been using ArmorAll in my oldest car since 1989. The car used to sit outside ALOT in South Texas sun. No cracks, no color fade, no nothing. I am sure the dashes today are made better than the ones from 1989. I have no worries about the Evo dash. BTW, the car is a 5.0LX Mustang still driven daily.
Getting OT a bit..... :/
Anyways, back to the fabric and suede stuff. I checked out the Griots products. Exactly which product is best for the suede type stuff the arm rest and door panels is made out of? I'd like to make a purchase soon.

Spray on, lightly scrub with a soft brush (griots has a good one) and then wipe down with a damp cloth and let dry.

armor all really is bad for your car... it actually can leech the plasticizers out of the plastic.. that is why some cars have that flakey dry white appearance on their dash and interior vinyl's and plastics. I've heard though if you use armor all continuously and religiously, it will not do that... but why risk it. Get Meguiars or another high end brand... good rule of thumb is that if you can buy the entire line of some sort of car care product at a grocery store or general store like Wal-Mart.. it's not going to be the greatest of stuff... one thing I have to renig on though with that statement is that Meguiars is starting to show up in more places... but it is definitely high quality stuff... so when in doubt... use good stuff and stay far away from Armor All
