How to drain transmission fluid.....

1. Remove fill plug
2. Place drain pan below drain plug
3. Remove drain plug
4. Watch transmission oil shoot out horizonality and splash down on the far side of the drain pan
5. Go buy a large bag of oil dry

After all the sayings how good redline fluids are and few freakin store I stopped by then having no luck finding any redline fluids = one unhappy driver. So after checking online at the Autozone site which listed that they have it. I thought I have some luck in finding what I'm looking for. So I asked the guy the question, do you have any redline fluid?
- uh what year?
- 2003
- uhh...75w90 this is what they reccomend
- your not helping me man, all I'm asking for is that Redline everyone seems to be talking about. <saying in my head of course.
- no we don't have
- WTF

Went back home and check online. Found some near by, OK for $11. Let see how much for shipping?
WTF $8 for freaking shipping? Reminded me of Shopping on E-Bay.

Then I started reading this thread some more and came upon this

Per Road Race Engineering

For Tranny = BG Synchroshift 1 (buy 3 quarts) - uses up around 2.75 quarts

For Transfer Case = Redline Heavy ShockProof (buy 1 quart) - uses up around .6 quarts

For Rear Diff = Redline 75W90 (buy 1 quart) - uses up around .6 quarts - Note, it's the 75W90 (which comes with friction modifier), NOT the 75W90NS

You can get most Redline stuff online at Jegs.com.

That's where I get Redline MT-90 for the transmission.

Summit Racing sells Redline as well.

Can anyone post pictures of the location of the transfer case drain plug? I found the tranny and rear diff. and changed those. Now one more to go!

Thanks in advance.

Get a pump that pumps from a tube that'll fit in the bottle. I think you may be able to order it online from harborfreight.com if there's not one locally. Otherwise cut the bottle nozzle off with a sharp blade so the pump will fit (if possible).
