Jacking Points with a Floor Jack

I've had my share of troubles jacking up my car. Pinch rails are fubared around the driver's door area, subframe rails crushed at a few places, etc. I had to bang the rear floorboards back with a sledge hammer because I thought those subframe rails could hold the weight of the car.
Also the crossmember it self is NOT a good jack point. That little square pad is a good jack point. If you jack from further back from the jackpoint on the crossmember you will see the crossmember actually bend before the car lifts off the ground. I only noticed it because I'd hear the bolt holding subframe brace to it clunk around, and one day I saw it bend as I was jacking it up.
Also those 2 little skids at the end of the subframe rails in the rear (about in line with the rear passengers heel I believe) looks very tempting as a jacking point. But those have bent too when I left my car on jackstands overnight. The forward part tilts up as the rear floorboard gives way.
Now I only use rear diff, front jack point (when my undertray is not on), and pinch rails very carefully. I always jack with a hockey puck, never metal on metal (that bends pinch rails).
Btw I've had all these troubles because my car is so low and I try to jack my car as far off the ground as possible to make it easier to work under.

Well I finished with the oil change and used the small square area behind the tow hook at the front and there was no bending and felt pretty safe with the stands as well. I'll keep using this method. Thanks guys.

Sorry for bringing up this dead thread - but I've seen the pics and graphs for the "jacking" points, but how about the "best spots" to set the jack stands against on?? I am currently having my car driven up on a pair of Rhino ramps for the winter storage/project. But then I noticed that the tires inner wall are being pressed a little bit, and I'm worried that they will cause flatspot or deformation to my tires after 4-5 months of storage - therefore, i'm planning to jack up the front car a little bit and set it on a pair of floor stands instead - but I've never done this and would like to find the best spots for the stands!!
Like some requests made before, if ppl can provide a pic or graph to show the best spots for stands, it'd be wonderful!! If not, a detailed description can still be very helpful!!
